[There's no shifting for Adam, and it feels odd for him keeping both hands on the wheel. There's no sense of control like last night or the satisfying noise of the engine riding through each speed the gears turn out. He has to satisfy himself with the steady growth of noise as the car gains RPMs and the spedometer increases exponentially, bouncing back and forth as he makes turns.
He's thankful the streets are empty, because the turns he's making are wide and oftentimes dangerous. There's more room for error as well as he skids into the opposite lane and makes it back to a decent area. He knows he's driving poorly, but with the conditions as they are, he's able to enjoy it. There's a small smile that widens even further when he sees the stretch of straight, abandoned road, and Kavinsky already chewing his way across it.
He finds himself smirking as he lets go, trying to catch up with his friend, and he's even humming a small song to himself, amped and ready to keep going.]
[Normally Kavinsky's music would be blaring out the window by now, bass thumping loud enough to shake the ground, but right now he's enjoying the hum of the cars, the air whipping in around him. No matter how awful he felt, how dead he felt inside, this always made him feel more alive than anything else. Now it's even better.
Adam isn't bad for someone who doesn't race and Kavinsky wonders how he'd do with a more race worthy car. When they get close to the warehouse, Kavinsky throws a hand out the window and signals for them to loop around again, zooming past their turn into the lot.
[Adam watches him zoom past and sees the hand gesture. He flashes his lights in return, hoping maybe he gets the message that Adam's confused by what's going on, but he gets the message soon enough. Then he's off again, pushing his car as much as he can, swerving somewhat as he tries to catch up.]
[Kavinsky swings into the next lane, then back again, keeping the same speed as his car swerves left and right, but the road is open and there's no other car in sight. He slows at the next turn, enough for Adam to catch up, then honks his horn and gives him the finger] Hey, fucker! How's it hangin' in there?
[Adam rolls his window down when he sees the intent of the other and yells back.] I'm doing fine! But why are we still out Here? I thought it was just one lap!
[Adam rolls his eyes and rolls up the window, before mashing on the gas again. It'll probably be the only time he actually can do it in this entire deal, so he takes advantage, rocketing ahead of Kavinsky.]
[Kavinsky laughs wildly as Adam pulls in front of him. He drives up right behind him and now he does throw on his music, extra loud and trails close behind Adam the whole time, then last minute, he swerves into the other lane and pulls ahead of Adam, going full speed back to Monmouth]
[Adam groans at that but it turns into laughter. He really didn't think his night would end up like this, but then again, he never thought he'd ever hang out with Kavinsky. Yet they seem to hang out all the time now. Eventually he makes it back to Monmouth and parks horribly, climbing out of the Batmobile and walking back to the other.]
[Kavinsky parks in his now usual spot at the lot, then hoists himself up so he can lean over the roof of his car and give Adam all the middle fingers] Ha! How fucking fun was that! You had a blast, you can't even deny it! And we didn't even crash!

Fun with Adam Parrish. Who would have thought?]
