[Well. It was nice seeing you, Kavinsky. Adam's just going to snatch this up and storm off now, okay? Okay.]

Dude! [he follows, because he's annoying like that] Temper tantrum too? Did I fall back in time?

[leylined]

[He whips around then.] Why did you even have this? Why were you in my room?

[fucking_kavinsky]

I wasn't! I mean... I was, but not to snoop. Chill, I was just looking around.

[leylined]

[He breathes in, the toy clutched in his hands. seriously Kavinsky how can you not like Barricade?] Why did you take this?

[fucking_kavinsky]

I was looking at it. I thought it was cool. [He purses his lips] I was leaving something in your room for you and I saw it. Relax, man. It's not the end of the fucking world.

[leylined]

[And now his attention's on that bit of information.]

What?

[fucking_kavinsky]

Why the fuck are you so touchy about a damn toy? [He asks, instead of answering the question]

[leylined]

[Because it's one of the only things he bothered to grab from his trailer when he left. That, his money, and his father's gun. But those are locked away and hidden. He doubts anyone but Noah would even know where to look for that stuff. Instead of answering Kavinsky's question, though, he bolts down the stairs and to his room, winging the door open wide.]

What. Is this?

[fucking_kavinsky]

[Kavinsky lets out an irritated sigh, then rolls his eyes and follows, hands tucked into his pockets]

Okay, so... it started out small. I was going for only one, and then it just kinda got away from me. [he shrugs, looking over at the fish tank with about a dozen or so colorful fish inside, swimming around together. He tries to look as bored as humanly possible about the whole thing]

[Adam goes further into the room, placing the toy on the cheap dresser he'd bought now that he has an actual room and examines the tank in wonder. These fish are unlike any others he'd seen before, and the coral looks like it's alive just as much as the fish are, vibrant and pulsing against the minor current the filter provides.]

You made these? [He shouldn't be surprised. He's seen Blowtorch, after all. More surprising was that it was made for him.] K, they're beautiful.

[fucking_kavinsky]

[He stands at the doorway, as if now is the time to not go in there instead of before, but hey, he was trying to do something here.

He's a little surprised at how bright everything is, how colorful he was able to make them without even thinking about the specifics of it all. They really are beautiful, but he shrugs] I figured since we all sort of have pets now, you could use one. Or like... twelve, however many are in there.

[leylined]

[He runs a finger along one of the corners of the tank reverently, and a good amount of the fish immediately swim to that edge, following the digit in curiosity, causing Adam to laugh his pleasure.] I really don't know what to say. Thank you.

[fucking_kavinsky]

[He shrugs] It was no big deal, really. I didn't even intend it to be that. [He waves his hand toward it. He's glad it is though, cause it does look cool and Adam looks pretty pleased] Are you gonna name them?

[leylined]

[He looks them over a minute before a stupid idea pops up. Then again, they are dream things. He points them out as he dubs them.] Yeah. Drillbit. Soldering Iron. Nailgun. Sledgehammer. Socket Wrench. Shovel. Axel. Fuel pump. Intake. Piston. Brakepad. Jumper Cable.

[fucking_kavinsky]

[Kavinsky finally steps inside the room again, going over to the tank, raising his eyebrows at the names. He laughs] Oh, fuck. That's perfect. We have like, the manliest man fucking pets ever. Except Chainsaw, she's like, the leader of the fucking pack.

[leylined]

She is. [He lets out a small laugh as he remembers Chainsaw's first days. How ugly it'd been as Ronan toted her everywhere, feeding her crushed up worms inside his backpack and how much she'd changed since then.] On the one hand, I'm kind of sad that they can't really go anywhere with us. On the other, it's probably for the best with how many there are. This really is awesome.

[fucking_kavinsky]

You never know, they might be able to breathe outside water. They're fucking magical dream fish and my head is full of fucking wonders. [He smirks, then taps lightly at the glass and glances at Adam] This doesn't mean anything, okay? I felt sorry for you, that's all.

[leylined]

I'm still not going to test it. [He smirks and glances at Kavinsky before looking at the fish again.] Of course. I wouldn't think otherwise.

[fucking_kavinsky]

Fair enough. [He gives a good, big nod] Alright. Good. Cool. I dunno what they eat, but probably fries.

[leylined]

I don't think they eat fries. [They totally eat fries, don't they?] I'll go to the pet store, get some food for them.

[fucking_kavinsky]

Oh, these little fuckers eat fries, trust me. [He knocks Adam's shoulder with his] They'll eat anything we eat, just watch them.

[leylined]

You fed them fries.

[fucking_kavinsky]

They like fries, man. Don't you trust me!? [He chuckles] That was one of the things I thought of when I created them. Fries for food.
