Adam starts leveling out again as Kavinsky starts to drive more cautiously. His breathing settles and he manages to look at the other from the corner of his eye. "Thank you." For a second Adam entertains the thought of making it sound sarcastic, but his relief is genuine. He swallows at Kavinsky's reminder, because he does know that. "It's..." but he can't find the words, especially when Kavinsky is still poking at him like this.
"Forget it." Because Adam knows it's bullshit, and that Kavinsky's trying to get a rise out of him, or teach him a lesson, but Adam's desire to apologize left when Kavinsky did a line off of Prokopenko's car. "Let me know when you're done not caring."
